Unfortunately, Credit Repair has lost some credibility within the industry. Why? According to the Better Business Bureau, the company was asked to prove their claims that the average customer sees progress every month while using their services - even seeing improvements in the neighborhood of 7% of questionable credit report negatives being taken off their credit reports every 30 days. As of the date of our review, the BBB was still reporting that they had not received proof of those advertising claims. Those claims are still prominently featured on the Credit Repair website.
Avoid at all costs! Do not use them, use one of their competitors. Any of their competitors, frankly. From the get-go, everything took forever to on-board. It took them two months to set up my account, even after badgering them about it (daily) for a month, via chat. In the 6 months that I used them, they removed but a single negative remark off of my credit. 1 out of the 20 (across the three major credit bureaus). Terrible execution on their part, from their membership correspondence to their ambiguously phrased chat responses. "We're sorry, we really are..." or "Bear with us, we are trying hard for you...: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah... They removed ONE SINGLE NEGATIVE REMARK IN 6 MONTHS!!! I spent over $1K using them and they did virtually nothing for me. Save your money and go elsewhere or call the credit bureaus yourself, as ALL THEY DO is challenge negative remarks. Their service is pointless and costly. I'm absolutely positive you'll get some bureaucratic, bull crap answer from them below my review, but know this. THEY DON'T DO THEIR JOB AND THEY MAKE UP EXCUSES and their software barely functions. I complained to their IT department 10+ times and they still didn't fix it on the 6th month of service. Just rubbish!
On the other hand, we found that their client reviews were not all positive. You pay a lot for this service, so you expect to have measurable results and competent customer service, but many of the complaints we found said that the attention received after signing on the dotted line was very different from the sales pitch beforehand. Company reps seemed to respond almost exclusively to compliments online, but we didn't see the same attention given to address problems or complaints.

We got even more confused when reading through the company's return and refund policy. It talks about returning software to Pyramid - but every description of the service says that it can all be accessed online. Why would they be shipping software to their customers - and would their customers install it with no clear explanation as to what it's used for?
The Veracity site advertises that they're accredited by the Better Business Bureau. That may have been true in the past, but at the time of our review, this credit repair service was not accredited and actually had an "F" grade. Why? Company owners Daryl F. and Wendy M. Yurek were found guilty of tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud in 2017 and sentenced to serve time in jail.
"My experience with CreditRepair.com is the best choice ever, I’m happy I am seeing good results on my credit report. I’m so happy debts are being removed from my credit. My score is rising daily, an I am receiving letters from the creditors that confirm the removals, I can’t believe it. All I had to do was become a member with CreditRepair.com, and let them handle everything. Customer service is awesome! Someone is always available to you, they contact me according to any alert to my credit, and I will recommend any one to join CreditRepair.com. The best results, thanks!"
A credit repair agency doesn’t technically do anything that you can’t do yourself, but the service is worth it for many people who find the DIY credit repair process time consuming and confusing. The best credit repair service combines financial education with proven techniques to remove negative items from your credit history. If your poor credit resulted from a complicated situation out of your control, such as identity theft, professional credit repair services save you time and effort.
Before the innovation and release of credit repair business software such as TurboDispute, credit repair businesses were helpless when it came to finding a manageable and efficient way to perform simple credit repair tasks. Updating client files and reviewing dispute letters were a time-consuming task that has now been easily organized using credit repair software. By investing in credit repair business software, credit repair businesses can extremely improve their functionality and efficiency all while saving time and increasing their clientele.
In an industry like credit repair, reputation is everything when choosing which service to use. In that regard, Pyramid comes up short. To find out their track record with the BBB, we had to find them under their alternate business name, Credit Concierge Services LLC. The BBB lists that business as "NR" (No Rating) status until more data comes in; when we found that listing, there was only one review posted and it was negative. We found just over four dozen mostly-positive reviews specifically for Pyramid around the web, but in an age where we know that customer reviews can be faked (unlike what you find on TopConsumerReviews.com!), it's hard to know which ones are truthful without trusted validation like the BBB.
"CreditRepair.com does a wonderful job on following through with promised tasks. I have been with CreditRepair.com for less than 3 months and have received better results than I have with any other credit repair services. The service representatives are well trained in customer service and it shows through their abilities to be patient and in answering questions thoroughly. Thank You!"
"I'm very pleased that after all these years I can finally fix my credit, and get it to where it used to be. I never knew that there was a place or company that can help you restore your credit. I'm glad I took the first step to fixing my credit. I'm happy that CreditRepair.com is helping me with my situation and hopefully I can get my house soon. I want to thank CreditRepair.com for taking the time to help me with my situation."

The honest answer? Yes, and no. Credit repair is a great way to improve your credit score, if the problem is caused by a disputable error. If your credit score is poor because of a giant pile of debt — debt that you legitimately owe — then credit repair may not be the right solution. Determining which path to take will be based upon those considerations as well as any other factors that may be unique to your situation — and this is something only you can decide.
Credit bureaus must send a notice of any corrections made to your report. Sometimes, a deleted dispute can reappear on your credit reports if the lender proves its claim is valid. If you find a derogatory mark reinserted on your credit reports, you can dispute it again. If you believe a credit reporting agency or one of your creditors has violated the FCRA, you should submit a consumer complaint to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
A good credit repair company first pulls your credit reports from each of the three major credit bureaus in order to pinpoint your credit issues. Why all three? Because each credit reporting agency has its own “data furnishers” (aka lenders, credit card companies, debt collectors, etc.), that report your credit information to them. And there may be errors that appear on one of your credit reports, but don’t appear on the others
