"I had virtually had nowhere to turn as I tried to reconstruct this area of my life until I began to search the net for solutions. I spoke with a representative of CreditRepair.com and was immediately assured that this was the safest and legal approach to resolving my credit issues. What I really like is the daily update and the activity being reported."
"It has been 4 weeks since the day I registered. I have also registered with Equifax Credit Bureau directly which increased my credit score twice as much as credit repair did not even change the info in their website. Every time I call them they tell me they have sent the requests. It will take months to reflect on your credit. Little different then what I originally expected. I am still registered."

In an industry like credit repair, reputation is everything when choosing which service to use. In that regard, Pyramid comes up short. To find out their track record with the BBB, we had to find them under their alternate business name, Credit Concierge Services LLC. The BBB lists that business as "NR" (No Rating) status until more data comes in; when we found that listing, there was only one review posted and it was negative. We found just over four dozen mostly-positive reviews specifically for Pyramid around the web, but in an age where we know that customer reviews can be faked (unlike what you find on TopConsumerReviews.com!), it's hard to know which ones are truthful without trusted validation like the BBB.
After you download your credit reports, it takes several hours to review them for errors. Then, you must gather documentation and draft dispute letters, which could take up to a week or more if you aren’t already familiar with your records. Depending on the item and the reason it's in your credit history, this could involve writing a short letter or performing significant amounts of research.
This provider offers a "performance-based refund policy": after you've been a client in good standing for 6 months, you can request a full evaluation of any progress they've made in repairing your credit. For every improvement or deletion they've made, eCreditAttorney will count it as a $95 value. If the total of monthly fees you've paid exceeds the value of $95 per improved/deleted item, you'll get a refund of the difference. Do the math, because that's not a fantastic deal: at $29/month, eCreditAttorney would only have to make two improvements or deletions over the course of 6 months to demonstrate adequate "performance".

The honest answer? Yes, and no. Credit repair is a great way to improve your credit score, if the problem is caused by a disputable error. If your credit score is poor because of a giant pile of debt — debt that you legitimately owe — then credit repair may not be the right solution. Determining which path to take will be based upon those considerations as well as any other factors that may be unique to your situation — and this is something only you can decide.
A credit repair company initiates credit challenges to bureaus when they notice errors in your credit reports. Credit report disputes involve challenging credit bureaus, drafting goodwill letters to remove late payments and contacting data furnishers to verify old debts. Credit repair specialists review the results and, if necessary, escalate the dispute process.
"I must say we are pleased thus far with the work that your company is doing in our behalf. I’ll admit that initially I was very skeptical about using your company. But you are proving me wrong in a very good way. Can’t wait to see the end results. Having many folks on the sideline looking to see what happens next with us. Thank you for your hard work!"

In order to analyze credit files, identify credit reporting errors, and evaluate credit scoring, credit repair advisors must be highly trained and have some level of experience. To understand the credit scoring models and how they differ from each other, one can review the most popular credit scoring model, FICO. Known as Fair Isaac and Company, FICO can help you understand the complexities of credit scoring and the credit scoring process, including identifying potential inaccuracies, duplications, merged files, unverifiable data, and outdated data.
"My experience with CreditRepair.com has been good and effective, considering the bad situation of my credit. What they advertise they will do is true. So far, I'm satisfied. In past years I've worked on credit repair and know how tedious it is & how tenacious you must be. Now, it is almost impossible to keep up with. They changed the rules. CreditRepair.com has taken all that 'work' on and so far, has been worth it."
